2018 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV | Review

The Outlander has found success as a popular SUV that combines utility and versatility into one vehicle. Now, Mitsubishi has taken it one step further and turned the Outlander into a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, making it more eco-friendly and fuel efficient than ever.

As a PHEV, the Outlander can be driven in purely electric mode, or modes which prioritize the gasoline engine or electric motors (and vice versa).

It’s powered by two 60kW electric motors and a 2.0L inline-four gasoline engine. For fuel efficiency, it makes 3.0Le/100KM in the city and 3.4Le/100KM on the highway. It can also tow up to 1,500 lbs.!

It’s offered in three trim levels: SE S-AWC, SE-AWC Touring Package (shown), and the GT S-AWC.
