2023 CR-V OVERVIEW
Most 2023 CR-V trims come with a turbocharged four-cylinder, 1.5L engine, which delivers up to 190 hp and 179 lb-ft of torque. The SUVs continuously variable transmission (CVT) offers a more natural-feeling drive, while its Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System provides confidence in any conditions by responding instantly to any loss of traction. Drivers can also customize the driving experience for various conditions with up to four available drive modes, including Normal, ECON, a new Snow mode that maximizes available traction and performance in slick, snowy conditions. The Touring Hybrid model includes a new Sport mode, for an even more engaging driving experience.
HYBRID TRIM SPECS
Like its gas-powered sibling, the 2023 Honda CR-V Touring Hybrid delivers a host of improvements, from a fresh design to more standard tech and safety features. And this one will be built by Honda Canada Manufacturing (HCM) in Alliston, Ontario. In fact, HCM is the lead plant for the hybrid CR-V model worldwide.
The Touring Hybrid trim offers a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with Direct Injection, 16-valve DOHC. The combined output is rated at 204 hp and 247 lb-ft. of torque. It uses an E-CVT drivetrain and introduces a new drive mode on top of the standard three, namely Sport mode. The fuel economy is 6.0 / 6.9 / 6.4 L/100 km city / highway / combined, the best among all CR-V models.
The new 23 CR-V hybrid is longer and wider than the outgoing model, and rides on a longer wheelbase. However, its height is unchanged. This new model also has a wider track at both front and rear. With increased exterior dimensions, the new CR-V hybrid is also bigger on the inside and has more cargo capacity.
The CR-V Touring Hybrid has a slightly lower towing capacity, at 453 kg, but offers deceleration paddle selectors which were previously tested on the Honda Clarity. This feature allows the driver to control regenerative braking and increases overall driving range. The Touring Hybrid is the only variant with 19-in black aluminium alloy wheels and a tire repair kit. It has a 9" touchscreen, navigation, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. It also offers a leather-wrapped interior cabin, a wireless charging pad in the front console and four USB ports (two front and two rear.)
PRICING
While the MSRP for the 2023 CR-V base trim is $34,790, the CR-V Touring Hybrid starts at $48,890. This price excludes taxes, fees, delivery costs, and customization charges.
