Choice of Hybrid Powertrains
The CX-90 MHEV is built around a 3.3-litre inline-six turbo engine with mild hybrid boost and is available in two distinct setups. The standard model delivers 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, feeding all-wheel drive through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The higher range features the same engine retuned to produce 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
The CX-90 PHEV model comes with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and high-capacity battery to produce 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Choose from fully electric operation for the lowest energy use or a combined gas-electric mode for maximum power. As in the standard model, the output is passed to all-wheel drive through an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth and controllable acceleration coupled with optimized fuel efficiency.
