Toronto, ON - Dilawri Group of Companies today announced that Jerry Chenkin will take on the role of Vice-Chair of the Advisory Board. Chenkin has been an integral part of the automotive industry in Canada for more than four decades, taking on a number of roles with Honda Canada, including the past four years as president and CEO. Following a long career at Honda Canada, the self-described "car fanatic" retired as the company's leader effective March 31, 2017.
"After 42 years of working directly with manufacturing and distribution, I'm looking forward to providing strategic direction to Canada's largest automotive group," said Chenkin. "While I will not be involved in day-to-day operations, I will offer my experience to help ensure the company moves forward as a leader in the industry."
